In French Mont Cervin----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Matterhorn is a beautiful mountain in the Alps Europe, straddling the border of Switzerland and Italy.-- Elevation is 4478m ( 14,692 ft ). The first ascent was in 1865 by a team led by Edward Whymper. The Matterhorn has a Pyramidal shape with four faces ,North, South,East and West.----At sunrise tourists wait at a bridge over the river in Zermatt, as the sun beams move over the mountain peak.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If you are not a climber , the easiest way to get close to the Matterhorn , is the mountain train to Gurnergrat,if you have a Swiss Rail Pass , a reduction is available. ------ A lovely day.
